Sometimes it seems like the only days it rains in the Spring are on Saturday and Sunday. Two weekends ago we had planned to race at Berlin Raceway in Grand Rapids for their opening season race. If you remember, it rained almost all day Saturday and all day on Sunday.
Last weekend we were very excited to make our first trek of the year to O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, but Saturday rains again foiled our plans. After that race canceled, we decided to go to Berlin for their rescheduled opening night. Our intent was to shake the bugs out off our new Berlin car and new motor combination before we opened the USA Modified season there on May 22nd. We shook out a lot of bugs, but could not get them all at the track. We parked the car after practice after remembering that we left our can of bug spray back at the race shop.
As long as the weather decides to cooperate we are scheduled to race at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis on May 15th, and then at Berlin on May 22nd as long as the weather decides to be dry on those dates.
