Morning thunder showers made it look as though another Saturday night of racing would have to be canceled at Kalamazoo Speedway, but track officials held out and the rain went away just in time to get the track dry and activities underway.Our primary car suffered ignition problems in practice and qualifying, so we used the backup car for the heat race and the feature.This was the first time that we had the backup car in a race this year and we found it’s bugs.I did not like the brake package in the car and plan to change to a more aggressive brake pad before the next race.Overall the car was fast, but we had to start last on the field because the car did not qualify earlier in the day.We were able to pick up a few spots and finished 15th.
Our next race at Kalamazoo Speedway is August 22nd where we hope to return with our primary car.
